Version 2.4Effective 1 January 2026Governing law: France

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") constitute a binding agreement between you (the "User", "you") and Maison Lanterne Éditions SAS, a French simplified joint-stock company registered under number FR-892 447 013 with its registered office at 27 Rue des Archives, 75004 Paris, France ("we", "us", "our"), concerning your access to and use of the website lanternssunnyroster.com and all its sub-pages, content and features (the "Site").

By accessing, browsing or otherwise using the Site, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must cease using the Site immediately.

2. Nature of the service — editorial, not transactional

The Site is an independent editorial publication about luxury hotels in Paris, France. We are not a travel agent, tour operator, booking platform, reservation intermediary or agent for any hotel. We do not take payments, hold inventory, confirm reservations, issue vouchers or form any part of a contract between you and a hotel.

All "Visit Official Website" buttons and comparable links direct you to the hotel's own website. Any reservation you make is a contract exclusively between you and that hotel or its chosen booking provider, governed by that party's own terms, rates, cancellation policy and privacy practices. We have no role in and accept no responsibility for such contracts.

3. User obligations and acceptable use

You agree to use the Site lawfully and respectfully. In particular, you agree that you will not:

You are responsible for ensuring that all persons who access the Site through your internet connection are aware of these Terms and comply with them.

4. Intellectual property rights

All editorial text, structure, layout, design, graphics, logotypes, iconography, compilations and source code on the Site are owned by or licensed to Maison Lanterne Éditions SAS and are protected by French and international copyright, database and trademark law. The name "lanternssunnyroster.com" and our lantern-and-star device are our unregistered trademarks.

You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to view and temporarily cache pages of the Site on a single device for your own non-commercial travel-planning purposes. You may print or download individual extracts for personal reference. No other licence is granted, whether express or implied.

Third-party marks. "Four Seasons", "Hôtel Plaza Athénée", "Dorchester Collection", "Le Meurice", "Ritz Paris" and "Shangri-La" are trademarks of their respective owners. They are used here solely for identification and descriptive editorial purposes under the principle of nominative fair use. No affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement or partnership is claimed or implied.

Photography. Photographic material is licensed from third-party providers, principally Unsplash, under their respective licences, and is illustrative of Parisian luxury hospitality generally. Unless explicitly captioned as such, images should not be taken as depicting the specific interiors of a named hotel.

5. Accuracy of content and no warranty

We prepare our content with considerable care, drawing on site visits, published sources and direct correspondence with hotels. Nevertheless, the hotel industry changes constantly: rates move daily, restaurants gain and lose stars, spas close for renovation, and facilities are reconfigured.

Accordingly, the Site and all its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without representations, warranties or conditions of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including without limitation any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, currency or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, nor that defects will be corrected.

All prices, star ratings, room counts, facility descriptions and opening details are indicative and were believed accurate at the date of publication shown on the relevant page. You must verify every material detail directly with the hotel before making any financial commitment.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Maison Lanterne Éditions SAS, its directors, employees, contributors and agents shall not be liable for:

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our aggregate liability to you in respect of all claims arising out of or in connection with the Site shall not exceed one hundred euros (€100). Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under French law. Nothing in these Terms affects the statutory rights of consumers.

7. Third-party links

The Site contains outbound links to hotel websites, official tourism bodies, the MICHELIN Guide and similar resources. These are provided for your convenience and as a matter of editorial integrity: we prefer to send you to a primary source. We do not control, monitor or endorse those sites, and their inclusion does not imply any association. Once you follow an outbound link, these Terms cease to apply and the destination site's own terms and privacy policy govern.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict or terminate your access to the Site immediately and without notice if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, if your use presents a security or operational risk, or if we are required to do so by law or by a competent authority. We may also modify, suspend or discontinue the Site, or any part of it, at any time and without liability.

You may terminate this agreement at any time by ceasing to use the Site. Sections 4, 5, 6, 9, 10 and 11 survive termination.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in law, regulatory guidance or our editorial operations. The version number and effective date at the top of this page identify the current edition. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page for a period of thirty days. Your continued use of the Site following the effective date of a revision constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms, their subject matter and their formation (including any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to section 11, the courts of Paris, France shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms.

Step four — litigation. Only if the above steps fail may either party commence court proceedings in accordance with section 10.
